Instructors provide practical techniques that can be used to survive an assault. Students will be given the chance to practice, train and apply these techniques in class.
“Taking responsibility and educating yourself is the first step in staying safe. Violent crimes are crimes of opportunity, and when you remove the element of opportunity, you reduce the risk of attack,” said Orange City Deputy Police Chief Wayne M. Miller. “This program is an additional police department effort to stop violence against women.”
