Deputies said the second jogger came forward after seeing a Facebook post on Buchanan’s arrest.

The victim in the new case, a 31-year-old woman from DeBary, contacted detectives and said she noticed Buchanan’s silver Dodge Caliber, which was pictured in the Facebook post, following her on her jog and stopped when she stopping to drink water.

She told officials she saw the photos of Buchanan and his vehicle and “immediately recognized him as the one who followed her,” the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives determined that Buchanan moved into his DeBary apartment at the beginning of September as the only tenant, and is the only one his landlord has seen driving the Dodge Caliber.

Buchanan, who was already in custody following his arrest Tuesday, is now also being charged with simple stalking and an additional violation of probation.

He was previously arrested in 2017 after he tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl while she was walking to her bus stop in Ponce Inlet, deputies said.
