Applications for the 2027 Victory Cup Initiative open Aug. 24 to eligible organizations in four counties

Victory Cup Initiative 2025 Winners Eligible organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits headquartered in Orange, Osceola, Brevard or Seminole County. Organizations must also have been established for at least three years and meet the program’s other application requirements.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida nonprofits will soon have an opportunity to compete for unrestricted funding while receiving professional storytelling training.

Applications for the 2027 Victory Cup Initiative open Monday, Aug. 24, and close Friday, Sept. 11.

Eligible organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits headquartered in Orange, Osceola, Brevard or Seminole County. Organizations must also have been established for at least three years and meet the program’s other application requirements.

What selected nonprofits receive

A panel of community volunteers will review the applications and select 10 finalists.

The selected organizations will receive:

  • Unrestricted funding
  • Professional storytelling training and coaching
  • Technical and community support
  • Access to the Victory Cup Initiative Alumni Network
  • An opportunity to present their missions to hundreds of business and philanthropic leaders

Each finalist will have 2.5 minutes to tell their organization’s story during the annual Victory Cup Storytelling Breakfast.

According to Victory Cup Initiative, nine nonprofits received more than $509,000 in unrestricted funding during the organization’s 2026 breakfast at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Important dates

  • Aug. 24: Applications open
  • Sept. 11: Applications close
  • Oct. 19: Finalists announced
  • Feb. 23, 2027: Victory Cup Storytelling Breakfast

Finalists must also participate in several required workshops and coaching sessions before the February event.

Previous Victory Cup finalists are not eligible to apply again.
