The apartment complex where Sunday’s shooting occurred is the same one in which a toddler was shot back in February.

On Tuesday, February 7, Orange County deputies were called to Hidden Creek Villas for reports of another shooting. In that case, they arrived to find a three-year-old child shot in a vehicle, still in their car-seat.

Neither the child nor the car were believed to be the intended targets of the shooting, deputies said at the time.

The child was taken to the hospital and survived, but that shooting also remains under investigation with no suspects identified.
