VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — People from all over the country are visiting Central Florida for spring break.

We’re seeing crowds all over the area, but especially on our beaches.
If you plan to head to Volusia County beaches this week, expect to see every lifeguard stand manned.
Volusia County Beach Safety said it has scheduled a full staff to keep an eye on all the extra people expected there this week.

Things were busy on Monday but beach safety officials said they are expecting more people as the week goes on.
The ocean was rough Monday so Volusia County Beach Safety flew the red flag.
Channel 9 found out that lifeguards rescued six people from the ocean.

Also, a woman’s body was pulled from the ocean.
“We’re still expecting those crowds to come in the next couple of weeks,” said Deputy Chief Tamra Malphurs.

So far, most of the vacationers are college students from out of state.
Lifeguards expect alcohol to be an issue and they said they are already dealing with some alcohol violations.
