Up, up & away: Multiple rocket launches planned for Florida’s Space Coast this week

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — It was a busy week on Florida’s Space Coast.

SpaceX ws also planning to launch another Falcon 9 rocket sometime Friday, but the company has not yet released a launch time.

Relativity Space was looking to launch its 3D-printed rocket, Terran I, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, but that launch attempt was delayed several times before ultimately being scrubbed shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Officials said Terran I is the first fully 3D-printed rocket capable of carrying payloads into orbit. The company will try again to launch the rocket at 1 p.m. Saturday. The launch window will remain open until 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, SpaceX is also looking to launch two Falcon 9 rockets before the end of the week.

The company launched a Falcon 9 rocket to carry a batch of satellites for the OneWeb 3 mission.

The OneWeb launch went off at 2:15 p.m. Thursday. Click here to watch video of it.

SpaceX was also planning to launch another Falcon 9 rocket sometime Friday, but that launch has been postponed until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

That launch is in support of NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission to launch supplies and equipment to the International Space Station.
