WILDWOOD, Fla. — Police are investigating a wild hit-and-run after an unknown suspect crashed through a cemetery in Sumter County.

On Wednesday morning, Wildwood police responded to the Greenwood Cemetery off Clyde Street to investigate a hit-and-run involving property damage.

According to the WPD, around 2:36 a.m., an unknown vehicle drove through the cemetery, hitting several tombstones.
Police released two pictures of the suspect vehicle and ask the public to call Sergeant Clarkson of the Criminal Investigations Division at 352-661-6908 if you have any information regarding this incident.
