Universal Orlando announces Mardi Gras concert lineup, more details

ORLANDO, Fla. — Musical legends, global superstars and Grammy-nominated DJs are some of the acts you’ll be able to see as part of Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration.

Universal on Thursday announced the concert lineup, as well as the return of the Mardi Gras parade and savory cuisine.

The event runs from Feb. 5 through April 24. Mardi Gras festivities are included with theme park admission. All concerts begin at 8:30 p.m.

Feb. 5: Sugar Ray

Feb. 12: Diana Ross

Feb. 19: Barenaked Ladies

Feb. 20: Styx

Feb. 26: Jon Pardi

March 5: LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip

March 6: Marshmello

March 12: Lee Brice

March 13: Becky G

March 18: Khalid

March 19: Seal

March 20: Gavin DeGraw

March 25: The Revivalists

March 26: Jimmie Allen

March 27: Jason Derulo

In addition, Bourbon Street brass bands will perform daily throughout the park.

The Mardi Gras parade also returns. This year’s theme is Planet Mardi Gras and will incorporate six detailed floats that fuse Mardi Gras with cosmic-inspired elements such as comets, rockets, martians and more. Those new floats will join the lineup of Universal’s traditional floats such as the jester and King Gator that wind through Universal Studios on select dates.

An array of delicious culinary delicacies inspired by locations across the globe will also be available throughout the park. Some of the dishes offered this year include crawfish boil, beignets, coconut curry shrimp laksa, vegan samosa, salchipapas and more.

Mardi Gras-inspired cuisine will also be available at select CityWalk venues.

The tribute story will offer Mardi Gras gear and themed treats throughout four highly themed rooms.
