UPDATE: Universal Orlando Resort announced Tuesday afternoon that it will be extending its daytime haunted houses, trick-or-treating and other Halloween festivities through the season.
The festivities will kick off Saturday and Sunday, then resume Oct. 3 and last daily through Nov. 1.
Trick-or-treating will also be an option in Islands of Adventure for the rest of the season.
Costumes will also be permitted throughout the season. Click here for guidelines.

Despite Halloween Horror Nights being canceled this year, Universal Orlando Resort has found ways to add some tricks and treats to its theme parks.
This weekend, Universal Studios will be unveiling two all-day haunted houses: “Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives” and “Revenge of the Tooth Fairy.” The haunted houses will be open during the park’s operating hours.

Virtual lines will be available for both haunted houses. The haunted houses are not available for children under the age of 13, Universal said.
Earlier this week, Premier passholders were emailed information on how to get a sneak peek of the haunted houses beginning Friday, but it was sold out as of Wednesday.
Disney to allow guests to wear costumes in Magic Kingdom during Halloween season
Keeping with the Halloween season this weekend, both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will allow costumes. Click here to review Universal’s costume guidelines.
Also this weekend, Islands of Adventure will host trick-or-treating for guests 12 and younger at select retail stores marked with special pumpkin stickers.

So far, Universal has not announced any further dates for the daytime haunted houses or other Halloween festivities beyond this weekend.
