Two arrested for the alleged trafficking of 15-year-old girl

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Two men were arrested Friday for the alleged trafficking of a 15-year-old Winter Springs girl.

Kwame Johnson, 25, and Rowy DeJesus-Vasquez, 24, were taken into custody after the teen was rescued from the accused pimps, agents said.

Investigators said they took the girl, posted her on Backpage and forced her to have sex with customers while keeping all the money for themselves.

"For the safety of the community we developed probable cause. We wanted to get them off the streets so they could not exploit any more juveniles," Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation agent David Allmond said.

The Backpage ad listed her as the "sexy and sweet girl next door" and listed her age as 19, investigators said.

Agents said the Winter Springs girl was a runaway.

"Seminole County had been actively investigating this they're very concerned when a 15-year-old is missing. Not only missing, but being exploited on Backpage for prostitution," Allmond said.

The teen was found at a Motel 6 after an agent, posing as a customer, set up a meeting for sex, investigators said.

Agents said they believe there are more victims, including other young girls.

"We're actively seeking leads for possibly other juveniles which we would love to go out and recover now that these two are behind bars," Allmond said.

Agents said they are making sure the charges stick while they search for the other victims.
