Woman fatally struck in hit-and-run on I-95, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run on Interstate 95 Friday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 61-year-old woman was walking or standing in the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 191 when she was struck by a vehicle.

The woman was found next to a guardrail around 6:45 a.m.

Troopers said they believe the crash may have happened between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call FHP at 407-737-2213 or Crimeline.

The crash remains under investigation.
