Woman accused of assaulting officer, trying to get away on motorized suitcase makes court appearance

ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman whom police said assaulted an officer at Orlando International Airport and tried to get away on a motorized suitcase made an court appearance on Monday morning.

Chelsea Alston said she wants to fire her attorney because he is “not representing her the right way.”

The judge ordered Alston to return to the court this afternoon to discuss her options.

“It’s about to be a bike pursuing a suitcase in a minute. It’s getting crazy,” said a police officer on body camera video, who tried to catch up to Chelsea Alston after she assaulted an officer.

Officers said Alston screamed and cursed at employees for being denied boarding a flight. When the officer caught up to her, he said she spit in his face.

Alston is facing charges for disorderly conduct and assaulting an officer.
