Trailer filled with 40K pounds of potato chips catches fire in Ocala

OCALA, Fla. — A trailer filled with 40,000 pounds of potato chips caught fire in Ocala on Thursday afternoon.

Ocala Fire Rescue said it responded to reports of a vehicle fire at Outlaw Snax on West Silver Springs Boulevard just after 1:45 p.m.

Firefighters said they found a detached trailer filled with potato chips burning. The trailer was not threatening any structures.

Crews were able to use a high-power jet stream to knock down the blaze.
