Tonight: City of Edgewater to vote on building moratorium

EDGEWATER, Fla. — Leaders in Edgewater will have a second reading on Monday of a proposed building moratorium.

It is in response to frequent flooding in parts of the city.

Residents have complained about a failing infrastructure for years.

They said the flooding worsened after Hurricane Milton last year.

If approved, the moratorium would stay in place for one year.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m.

It will be held in Council Chambers at 104 North Riverside Drive in Edgewater.
