Cure Bowl kicks off trifecta of bowl games at Camping World Stadium

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Cure Bowl will kick off a trio of college football bowl games at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Friday’s matchup will pit the Jacksonville State Gamecocks against the Ohio Bobcats.

It will be the only bowl game outside of the College Football Playoffs featuring two conference champions.

But the Cure Bowl is about much more than great football.

Since the bowl began in 2015, the Orlando Sports Foundation has donated over $4 million to the fight against cancer.

Today’s kickoff is scheduled for noon.

At last check, Cure Bowl tickets were still available.

And there’s more bowl action on the way to Camping World Stadium.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl happens on December 28th.

The No. 18 Iowa State Cyclones will face off against the 13th-ranked Miami Hurricanes.

Then, at 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, No. 15 South Carolina takes on No. 20 Illinois in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.

Orlando’s Camping World is the only stadium in the nation to host three bowl games annually.
