ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — 2009 - 2012 - Police said in court documents filed in 2016, Darryl Patterson unlawfully commit sexual battery. Patterson had sex with a victim while she was incapacitated at his Windermere home. The assaults were video recorded by Patterson, said police.
2012 – An ex-girlfriend of Darryl Patterson turned in the photos, video cassettes, DVDs of women allegedly being sexually assaulted to Orange County Sheriff's Office. That evidence was then transferred to the Windermere Police Department.
No follow up investigation was conducted in an attempt to determine the identities of the victims, according to court documents.
The evidence was then put in a storage shed at the Windermere Police Department.

Dec. 29, 2014:
Sexual battery investigations reopened by Detective Allen. It began when Patterson went to report a fraud case involving an out-of-state incident. A longtime officer recognized Patterson and asked Detective Allen if Patterson was at the police station involving the 2012 rape investigation.
Apr. 8, 2015: A woman reported an attempted sexual battery involving Patterson to the Windermere Police Department.
Apr. 30, 2015:
The Windermere Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office execute a search warrant at Patterson’s house and remove potential evidence.%

May 15, 2015: A search warrant authorizing the search and seizure of content from the computers, phones and other electronics were issued.
Aug. 12, 2015: Detective Allen met with US Secret Service who took custody of the computers, mobile phones and other electronic media seized during the search warrant.
Jan. 11, 2016: Victim said she knew Patterson and recounted on two occasions in 2011 waking up naked in a bedroom at Patterson's home and not knowing how she got there.
May 11, 2016: Victim was questioned again by Detective Allen. She said she has known Patterson since 2009.
June 1, 2016: Patterson is arrested by Orange County Sheriff's Office at his Orange County apartment.
