Thousands expected to flood downtown Orlando this weekend: Here’s what to know before you go

ORLANDO, Fla. — Downtown Orlando will welcome thousands of visitors this weekend with an event at every major city venue.

From Monster Jam at Camping World Stadium, to Blake Shelton at the Amway Center and an Orlando City game at Exploria Stadium, thousands are expected to flood downtown to be entertained Saturday.

“We’re looking to create the best experience possible for these guests,” said Kelly Allen, with Orlando’s Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency.

The board is programming the streets over by the venues with entertainment and performances.

If you’re worried about getting yourself downtown, SunRail’s got you covered.

“We’re also working with SunRail to have free rail transportation to downtown Orlando, so you can conveniently park at your SunRail station and head into downtown Orlando,” Allen said.

The city is calling this DTO 2.0 Experience. The goal is to help encourage guests to head downtown early and stay a little later to walk around, check out the restaurants and just enjoy the vibrancy of the downtown area.
