ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An issue with the Orange County Convention Center’s vaccine booking site has left thousands of appointments left available to be booked this week.
Orange County health officials said the site mistakenly says “the site has reached capacity” when people log on to make appointments. In reality, if you continue to click past that message, there are still 12,000 appointments left now through the end of the week.
If you log on today to make an appointment, it will only allow you to book one if you are age 65 or older. But, if you wait and log on to make an appointment on Wednesday, school employees, law enforcement officers and firefighters over the age of 50 can sign up.
The Orange County Convention Center is able to book 18,000 COVID-19 vaccine appointments a week and officials said as of Tuesday only 5,931 appointments have been filled this week so far.
