ORLANDO, Fla. — If you’re wanting to get inspired, considering taking a trip to some of these museums and galleries that are reopening in Central Florida.
Art & History Museums - Maitland
The Art & History Museums - Maitland is reopening May 28, and it will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
Officials said there will be limited admittance and staff and guests will be required to wear a mask.
Masks are optional in outdoor gardens, officials said.
Groups will be limited to 10 or fewer people and the gallery and history museums are limited to 15 guests at a time.
Museum staff said extra cleaning measures are being taken regularly and hand sanitizer will be available for guests. There will also be plexiglas at the admission desk and touch-free payment options.
Officials said there will be signage to remind guests to follow social distancing guidelines.
Bronze Kingdom: African Art Gallery-Museum
The Bronze Kingdom: African Art Gallery-Museum will reopen May 28.
CityArts
CityArts reopened Tuesday. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Officials said there will be limited admittance and staff and guests are required to wear a mask.
CityArts said guests will be required to check in and fill out a short survey at the front desk.
Temperature checks will be taken at the discretion of the CityArts staff and hand sanitizer stations will be available for guests.
CityArts said markers have been placed throughout the building to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation of staying at least 6 feet apart.
Cornell Fine Arts Museum
The Cornell Fine Arts Museum has not announced a reopening date.
Haitian Museum of Art & Culture
The Haitian Museum of Art & Culture reopened last Thursday. It is open Wednesday through Saturday by apportionment only.
Guests and staff will be required to wear a mask.
Leesburg Center for the Arts
The Leesburg Center for the Arts will reopen June 1. It will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests and staff will be required to wear a mask.
Mennello Museum of American Art
The Mennello Museum of American Art said it will reopen June 2.
Orlando Museum of Art
The Orlando Museum of Art will reopen June 2. It will be open Tuesday through Sunday.
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Guests and staff are required to wear a mask.
Snap! Space
Snap! Space said it reopened last Thursday and will be open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Staff and guests are required to wear a mask.
Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts
The Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts said it will reopen June 15. The museum will be open Monday through Saturday. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Staff and guests are encouraged to wear a mask.
