‘Thank you for being a friend’: ‘Golden Girls’ fans cruise set to sail out of Florida next year

MIAMI — A cruise filled with fans of the “Golden Girls” sitcom is set to sail out of the Sunshine State next year.

Golden Fans at Sea is organizing the voyage on the Celebrity Summit ship from April 8 to 13, 2023.

The five-day cruise will depart from Miami with stops in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico.

Plans for the cruise come as the last of the Golden Girls, the beloved Betty White, recently passed away at the age of 99.

Though the show ended in 1992, its fans are still enjoying reruns to this day, and keeping alive its spirit of fun and friendship.

Organizers said up to 1,00 fans will board a new Celebrity Summit ship as they salute “the most iconic television of all time.”

The trip will also include special events including “character costume dress-up party, trivia, celebrity panels and parody shows.”
