Taste of Space blasts off at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex this fall

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Get ready for a flavorful journey through the cosmos.

Taste of Space: Fall Bites! Returns to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Oct. 2 through Nov. 5.

During the event, guests will be able to try delightful seasonal dishes at several eateries throughout the visitor complex, it announced Tuesday.

Food being offered this year includes:

  • At Space Bowl Bistro inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, guests can enjoy a hand-tossed arugula salad with fire-roaster peppers, onions, corn and black beans; roasted Brussel sprouts with cranberries, pecans, parmesan and applewood bacon and dulce de leche with pumpkin spice.
  • At Orbit Café, guests will be able to enjoy an applewood bacon, gouda and arugula sandwich on a pretzel bun; a loaded sweet potato topped with maple cinnamon butter and applewood bacon or a jumbo apple cider cupcake with caramel frosting.
  • At Red Rock Grill, enjoy walking nachos with chili cheese and jalapenos, sweet potato tots with maple cinnamon butter and applewood bacon.
  • The Moon Rock Café will offer a black bean salad with arugula, fire-roasted peppers, onions and corn, as well as a turkey brie wrap with arugula and cranberry mayonnaise.
  • Local brews will be available inside Planet Play.

Also this year is the third annual Taste of Space: Marstini Shake-Off on Oct. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex. Participants will have the chance to mix and mingle with veteran NASA astronauts Scott Altman, Chris Ferguson and Anthony “Tony” Antonelli while enjoying food stations throughout Gateway. Local bartenders will also be on hand to create the perfect Marstini, the visitor complex said.

On Nov. 3, Taste of Space: Celebrity Chef Edition welcomes acclaimed chefs Duff Goldman and Esther Choi, with chef Jon Ashton returning as the host of the evening. Click here for tickets to the after-hours event.

A limited number of tickets are available for an exclusive meal that will follow the chef demo. The two-hour sit-down dinner will feature a menu designed by Goldman and Choi. Click here for tickets.
