Targeted launch date for crewed Starliner flight announced

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — NASA and Boeing have announced a timeline for the first crewed flight of the Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station.

Teams are now targeting a launch date of no earlier than July 21.

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are getting closer to flying the Boeing Starliner’s first crewed flight test to the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Mike Fincke is the backup pilot for the critical flight test under NASA’s Commercial Crew program.

Teams will have to slide this mission into a very hectic launch schedule at the cape, and still have to work it out with some government agencies, ULA, and the Eastern Range.
