Take a look: Bear spotted at Lake Eola Park

ORLANDO, Fla. — A small black bear took a walking tour of Lake Eola this weekend.

On Sunday morning, the bear was spotted in a tree at Lake Eola Park.

The Orlando Police Department told Channel 9 that they responded to the park for a bear sighting.

Police said there was no safety threat to the area and that the bear was just sitting in the tree.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials were also contacted, police said.

Rep. Anna Eskamani said she contacted Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for updates on a plan to relocate the bear.

Eskamani said FWC is on-site with Lake Eola Park staff, but they might have to wait until the bear comes down, which could be tonight.
