ORLANDO, Fla. — If you were in downtown Orlando for an event-filled Saturday, you might have seen the crowds boarding a local SunRail station.

The Central Florida commuter train line provided free rides to residents as part of a special service on March 4.

The Community Redevelopment Agency sponsored this promotion.

Guests saved money en route to their destinations, but many people said it was not easy to get a ride because of the crowds.

SunRail posted on social media that some of their trains had 10 to 15-minute delays due to the large volume of passengers.

Channel 9 reporter Nick Papantonis documented his trip through Kissimmee, Winter Park and downtown Orlando.

He said a staff member told him 210 people boarded the 4 p.m. train at the Kissimmee station, with 140 adults and 70 children.
