SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Sumter County are investigating after a man was found dead at a bar early Saturday.

Investigators responded around 12:20 a.m. to The Damn Pub at 4666 CR 300 Lake Panasoffkee for a reported shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found Shaun Farkus of Oxford, Florida dead from a gunshot wound.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact them.

Deputies said a person involved “has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.”
Deputies said there is no threat to the public.
