Sumter County woman, 68, killed by someone she knew, deputies say

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Sumter County said a 68-year-old woman was killed inside of her home over the weekend by someone she knew.

Jenetta Floyd, 68, was found unresponsive around 5 p.m. at a home on County Road 223 in Oxford, officials said.

Deputies said Floyd was the victim of "homicidal violence,' but did not say how she died.

Detectives said she was slain by "an associate," and they have identified a person of interest.
