Parents said they had a few problems with the online apps being used to teach students from home, saying they were too slow to load with a lot of people using the system all at once.

Shoshanna Friedman has two children who are private-schooled. She said they are now in a good rhythm with the online learning after working online for a couple of weeks, and she believes the public schools will be up to speed soon, too.

“I don’t mind it going until May or the end of the year,” Friedman said. “I’m not working. I got laid off two weeks ago from work, and if it’s better to contain the virus and not send the kids to school, then it’s for the best, And the teachers are all on board doing virtual.”
