The mother-to-be was connected to Mumley when she called for help on her way to the emergency room.

As her husband drove her toward Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, it soon became obvious that the baby wasn’t going to wait for assistance from doctors and nurses.

So Mumley took charge and talked the woman through her delivery right over the phone.

She even explained how to correctly pinch the umbilical cord.

Mom and Dad finally arrived at the emergency room with their baby tucked safely in mom’s arms.

“We’re proud to recognize Ms. Mumley for demonstrating a remarkable level of guidance and support when it mattered most,” said Kim Hogan, the hospital’s patient care administrator.

Mumley’s boss was quick to offer up praise as well.
