Vigil held for motorcyclist shot near I-4 on-ramp

ORLANDO, Fla. — Family members and friends held a vigil for a man who was fatally shot while riding his motorcycle on an entrance ramp to eastbound Interstate 4.

What started out as a fatal crash investigation on Thursday turned into a homicide investigation by the next morning.

Nathan Joseph, 31, was shot as he rode along the entrance ramp to I-4 from State Road 408.

"If you ever knew him, he was the most loving caring person," the victim's sister, Sheneika Joseph, said.

Despite losing his left leg in a motorcycle accident years ago, family members said Nathan never gave up his passion for riding motorcycles.

"He'd have his prosthetic in his backpack riding with him," Sheneika Joseph said.

Nathan leaves behind a 10-year-old son and had a baby on the way, family members said.

"He's going to always be here with us, no matter what," girlfriend Waynesha Hemmings said.

Investigators released photos Monday of Nathan and his son, hoping to get people to talk. So far, they've gotten no information and have no leads in the case.
