Stabbing incident leads to arrest warrant for first-degree murder in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said a 12-year-old child called 911 after her mother was stabbed by her stepfather.

On Jan. 5, around 2:58 p.m., deputies said they responded to a home for a stabbing. 

A 12-year-old child called and said her stepfather was armed with a knife, and her mother, Enese Pierre, was stabbed and bleeding.

Deputies said they did a forced entry into the home and found Makinson Devalcin, wearing a tank top and yellow shorts, face down on the ground at the entrance of a bedroom. 

Officials said Devalcin had a shallow stabbing to his neck, and they began to render aid. 

OCSO said Devalcin was unconscious but still showed signs of life.

Deputies said they entered the bedroom and found a woman lying on the bed and was covered in blood. 

Officials said there was a knife lying on the ground beside the left side of the bed covered in blood. 

Investigators said the woman appeared to have a fatal stabbing wound to her neck. 

Devalcin was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for the first-degree murder of Devalcin.
