Surveillance footage from the parking lot showed a man, later identified as Fancher, moving his shopping bag from his left hand to his right and walking along the entire length of a 2012 Toyota 4-Runner, dragging his left arm behind him, the affidavit states.
Deputies attempted to speak with Fancher at his home, who told authorities through his Ring doorbell that he was out of state and would return on Tuesday.
Through the doorbell, Fancher asked if it was “about the car.”

Fancher had asked the police who arrived at his house if it would be possible to contact the victims to pay for the damage, if he could avoid being arrested and have the charges filed with the state attorney’s office in lieu of an arrest, and avoid having a mugshot taken, according to the affidavit.
Fancher had called the school resource office at St. Cloud High School after speaking with police and admitted he “keyed a car in the Publix parking lot” and asked “how much trouble” he was in, the affidavit states.
Fancher was arrested Tuesday while meeting with police at the police department. He is facing criminal mischief charges with over $1,000 in damage.
In a note to St. Cloud High School parents, the school said, “until the outcome of the law enforcement investigation and associated proceedings are complete, Mr. Fancher will be on administrative leave from the school.”
The school said it will not discuss the incident in detail as it is a law enforcement matter.
