Spring break travel season accelerates at Orlando International Airport

ORLANDO, Fla. — If you’re planning a trip through Orlando International Airport, be prepared for big crowds, as the spring break travel season kicks into gear.

The season officially started Saturday and will run all the way through mid-April.

During that timeframe, airport leaders expect 7.3 million passengers to fly in and out.

That will be around 1 million more travelers than last year.

The busiest day is expected to be Saturday, March 25, with nearly 173,000 passengers.
