SpaceX successfully launches Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink satellites

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Saturday night.

The rocket was carrying 55 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit and lifted off around midnight.

Those satellites are part of a massive system that will bring high-speed internet around the world.

The Falcon 9 first-stage booster landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship completing the booster’s 12th mission.

SpaceX launched its first set of Starlink satellites in May 2019.
