SpaceX successfully launches Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched successfully from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Saturday night.

The rocket carried a communications satellite into orbit for Turksat, a Turkish satellite operator. It was the second SpaceX Falcon 9 launch in less than 24 hours..

The Turksat 5B satellite will help provide broadband services over Turkey, the Middle East, and large regions of Africa.

The 90-minute launch window opens at 10:58 p.m. Saturday

SpaceX’s Turksat 5A mission was the first launch from the Space Coast in 2021.
