BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Update: A Falcon 9 rocket launch successfully blasted off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Friday evening.

SpaceX is aiming to launch a Falcon 9 rocket that will send two communications satellites into orbit.

The SES-18 and SES-19 satellites will help bring TV and data services to people across the U.S.

The 38-minute launch window opens at 7:38 p.m. from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Click here to stream the launch live.

A backup launch opportunity is available on Saturday, with a 37-minute window opening at the same time.

After the launch, the first stage will attempt to land on SpaceX’s Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX said the first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched five other missions including CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, and two Starlink missions.
