Anyone planning to stay up late until early Friday may be able to see a rocket launch from Florida’s Space Coast.

SpaceX is planning to launch a Falcon 9 rocket around 12:30 a.m. from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The rocket is set to carry a communications satellite for the Intelsat IS-40e mission into orbit.

If the Falcon 9 cannot launch during its 119-minute launch window Thursday, another launch window will open Saturday at 12:29 a.m.
SpaceX said the first stage booster for this mission previously launched CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, and one Starlink mission.

After blasting off from Florida, SpaceX plans to land the booster on its “A Shortfall of Gravitas” droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.
