CAPE CANAVERAL SFS, Fla. — A Falcon 9 rocket carrying a GPS satellite for the U.S. Space Force lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Wednesday morning.

SpaceX officials launched of the GPS III SV06, called Amelia Earhart, at 7:24 a.m. on Jan. 18.

Following the launch, the Falcon 9 first-stage booster landed on the “A Shortfall of Gravitas” droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The booster for this mission was previously used to launch SpaceX’s Crew-5 mission.
