SpaceX Dragon spacecraft set for splashdown off Florida’s coast Monday

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — A SpaceX Dragon spacecraft is headed back to Earth after delivering supplies to the International Space Station.

The capsule left the ISS around 10:40 a.m. Sunday after a 24-hour delay due to weather conditions in the splashdown zone in the Gulf of Mexico near Florida.

The cargo capsule is filled with more than 4,900 pounds of research, medical experiments and equipment.

The splash down is set to happen off the coast of Panama City around 4:05 p.m. Monday.
