ORLANDO, Fla. — Travelers stuck at the Orlando International Airport said they’re cautiously optimistic after Southwest Airlines announced they hope to return to normal operations on Friday.

Things are expected to get even busier after this weekend, with people flying back from New Year’s.
Southwest blamed crew scheduling and software issues for most of the 13,000 cancellations.

In Orlando, 118 flights were canceled on Thursday, 111 of which were Southwest.
Southwest CEO issued an apology last week and said they are proactively working to help customers. The airport is asking people to still arrive at least three hours early through the weekend.
