Some Central Florida teachers receive trauma training related to COVID-19

While students and parents are getting ready for the first day of school, so are staff.

Teachers across the area have been trained on all kinds of new protocols and policies because of COVID-19.

The company Kognito, which has offered mental health training to teachers across the country after school shootings and hurricanes, is now offering trauma training as it relates to COVID-19.

Osceola County made the training mandatory before teachers returned to work. Polk County is having its staff members also complete the training.
