‘A smart approach to dumb ideas’: How Florida Citrus Sports’ toaster trophy boosts its bowl game par

The idea was a year in the making.

In 2023, Florida Citrus Sports worked with Kellanova (NYSE: K), sponsor of both the Pop-Tarts Bowl and Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, to make the Pop-Tarts game trophy look like a toaster — a nod to the popular toaster pastry.
