Silver Spurs Rodeo rounds up its last night in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A sold-out crowd came to watch the last performances at the Silver Spurs Rodeo in Kissimmee this weekend.

According to a news release, local cowboys competed in seven traditional events, including bull riding, bareback riding and team roping at the Silver Spurs Arena.

The Silver Spurs Riding Club said 2023 celebrates the 150th edition of the rodeo.

Guests also enjoyed performances from a rodeo clown, and the Silver Spurs Queens made an appearance.

The Silver Spurs Quadrille team performed a square dance on horseback, which has been part of the culture since the rodeo began.

The winner received a $52,000 cash prize.
