Shots fired at 2 cars leads to crash near busy Orange County intersection

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are investigating after they said shots fired at two cars led to a crash near a busy intersection.

Just before 4:30 a.m., deputies said a shooting happened near John Young Parkway and Edgewater Drive.

Investigators said a suspect in one car shot at two cars.

The first car was driven by a 22-year-old man. The second car was driven by a 23-year-old woman. A 3-year-old boy was in the car with the woman.

Deputies said as a result of the shooting, a different car was involved in a crash with the vehicle being driven by the 22-year-old man.

No one was injured as a result of the shooting, but one driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 22-year-old man and 23-year-old woman know each other, but do not know why they were shot at.

The investigation is ongoing.
