Shooting leaves man dead in Orange County neighborhood, deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man died following a shooting Thursday night in an Orlando-area neighborhood, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to Chesham Drive, not far from Dean and McCulloch roads.

OCSO said on arrival, deputies located a man who had been shot.

He died at the scene, the agency said.

OCSO added that the age of the victim is unclear and the investigation is in its early stages.

Channel 9 has been monitoring the active crime scene since 4 a.m. Friday.

As of 7 a.m., deputies and CSI units were still visible in the neighborhood.

OCSO has not released details about a possible motive or a suspect in this shooting case.
