MARION COUNTY, Fla. — The Marion County sheriff released a photo on Wednesday of the car belonging to one of three teenagers killed in the community last week.

Sheriff Billy Woods said deputies want to know if anyone saw the car, a white 2015 Chevy Cruze, on March 30 or April 1 and noticed anything suspicious.

Woods said the car belonged to 16-year-old Layla Silvernail, who was the first victim located.

Deputies said the car was seen on Thursday, March 30, at approximately 10:40 p.m. in the area of Forest Lake Park, Southeast 93rd Place, and Southeast 183rd Ave Road. Deputies said the car was then located on Saturday, April 1, at approximately 1 p.m. at Malauka Loop Trace.

The sheriff said if you have any information or have seen or heard anything suspicious around those times, to call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867) and reference 23-22 in your tip.
