Driver of SUV killed in crash involving SunRail train in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman died Wednesday after a SunRail train struck her SUV in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said witnesses told them the SUV went around the signal arms while they were down prior to the crash on Marker Street near Williams Street around 11:55 a.m.

Investigators said no one else was inside the SUV at the time of the crash, and that the woman driver died on scene.

Troopers said there were between 20 and 25 passengers on the train at the time. No other injuries were reported.
