SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Seminole County officials are working on storm preparations as Subtropical Storm Nicole tracks toward Florida’s east coast.
Seminole County Office of Emergency Management officials said the storm could bring up to 7 to 8 inches of rain to areas just now drying out from Hurricane Ian.

In order to prepare for the storm, the county has opened three self-serve sandbag locations:
- Old Geneva Volunteer Fire Station, 217 2nd St, Geneva
- Lake Monroe Wayside Park, 4150 Highway 17, Sanford
- BOOMBAH Sports Complex, 3450 E Lake Mary Blvd, Sanford
The county is also waiving fees to drop off debris leftover from Hurricane Ian to the Seminole County Landfill for the next 72 hours. The landfill is located at 1930 Osceola Road in Geneva.
