OVIEDO, Fla. — Central Florida veterans were honored Saturday during the “Hot Rods for Heroes” event in Oviedo.
Honor Flight Central Florida organized the fourth annual car, truck and bike event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oviedo Mall.

Organizers said more than 200 classic and modern show cars, trucks and motorcycles were on display.

Visitors were able to meet and talk with veterans from WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars.

Organizers said the event featured the McNeely father-and-son duo of The Honda Generators Race 90 Team fly their AT-6 Texan vintage racing airplanes over the show immediately following the national anthem.

Visitors also enjoyed a prize raffle, food and beverage booths, a silent auction and live music.
