OVIEDO, Fla. — The Seminole County school district said it may enforce stricter guidelines at any remaining playoff games after a video showed students crowded together at a football game on Friday night.
The video also shows many students who were not properly wearing masks.

Channel 9 noticed that the crowd at the Oviedo High School versus Hagerty High School football game was not practicing social distancing.
The Hagerty-Oviedo game is always a big rivalry that brings out fans. But while the stadium only allowed for 50% capacity, Channel 9 found the majority of that capacity huddled in the student sections of the stadium.

There wasn’t much social distancing, and many of the students either were not wearing a mask or not wearing them properly.
In an email, communications officer Michael Lawrence said, “we recognize this has been a challenge enforcing in our student sections especially in a rivalry playoff game such as the one that occurred Friday night between Hagerty and Oviedo high schools.”

The district said administrators and law enforcement were on hand to provide warnings and politely request compliance of the guidelines throughout the game.
