Police said the other man has a concealed carry license and took out his gun as he was trying to leave the gas station for self-protection.

The man was confronted again by Holloway while leaving the RaceTrac, which is when the man shot Holloway in self defense, police said.

Officers said they are still investigating the shooting and that it appears to be a case of stand-your-ground.
